Feng Shui Art.....

I having been working on the Feng Shui art peices all week...
There are 4 paintings...representing the 4 Celestial Guardians
- green dragon of the east
- red phoenix of the south
- white tiger of the west
- black tortoise of the north

Here is my "White Tiger" design

Glow With the Flow.....

my glowing sea anemone is FINISHED!
I am sending it in today for the West Coast Mural project...

Glow with the Flow....

The ocean is full of creatures that are so beautiful.

Perhaps it is the water that enhances their beauty, making them look so graceful as they float along or flutter their tentacles & translucent membranes. One of my favorite creatures is the Sea Anemone. It is like an ocean flower, round in shape and tentacles for petals. Some anemones are fluorescent and glow in the dark. Inspired by this, I have used flourescent and glow paint which makes it come alive in the dark.

a summary....

well its day 3 at painting this "Kunamoskt" panel...
I think I am almost done...
I touched up the outer ring...& toned down the tentacles

















added more glow in the dark paint...
and some "interference" paint (my fav)












and I varnished each individual bump of paint
with high gloss varnish to make them look wet....

still workin on the panel today...
it took overnight for the dimensional paint to dry
I added a wash of turquiose paint to the background
and around the inner circle....

















then I added another wash of various colors
and the "glow in the dark paint"
now I am waiting for that to dry....
